I recently headed to Meribel for a week of skiing and took two full suitcases, so I thought I would give you guys a rundown of my ski looks and some lovely places I visited!
I was super lucky this year to be sent some items to borrow for my trip. I also purchased a few bits as I knew I would wear them again next time I go skiing. Let’s start with my travel outfit - which always includes tracksuit bottoms. I haven't taken off these Weekday ones since I purchased them last month. I threw on a comfy jumper and a big bag to put loads of stuff in that I never use on the plane :) I was kindly gifted this HH jacket, which was cozy and warm. It is a ski jacket, but I feel you can get away with it being a day-to-day one too. I also wore my Moonboots as they wouldn’t fit in the case!

I spotted this leather ski jacket at the Perfect Moment Press day the other week and was obsessed. They have the leather trousers that match too, but I thought I’d get more wear out of the red. The jacket was kindly loaned to me while I was away, and it was so comfortable and kept me cozy. Underneath, I wore Uniqlo thermals and a cashmere jumper.

Next up is this Farm Rio ski outfit - how good!? Sadly, it's sold out, but if it comes back, I'll pop it in the Substack group!
We visited a couple of hotels for a drink in the mid-afternoon throughout the week. Le Val Thorens by Beaumier Hotels is located in Val Thorens; it's right on the slopes, making it easy to start your day skiing. They make great margaritas, and the bar area outside and inside was super cool and very chilled. It was a really nice place to stop off on the way back to Meribel.
Next up, we visited Le Coucou in Meribel - this place was a dream. I’ve looked it up online before to stay, but it's super expensive, so we popped there for a drink, and wow, it didn’t disappoint. The bar area was so welcoming with a lit fire. When you arrive, they ask you to take your boots off, give you a pair of slippers to walk around in, and keep your boots warmed in a boot room. We had a drink out on the balcony that overlooks the ski slope, but you can also sit outside at the restaurant that overlooks the mountains.
Its been a busy few weeks which is why this newsletter is a little delayed!
